Legislative Forum for Youth Youth-Focused Coalitions, Committees, Councils, and Commissions in Franklin County/North Quabbin Early in 2005 the Youth Services Roundtable began discussing the various coalitions, task forces, councils, etc. that exist in Franklin County and the North Quabbin. There was some concern that the members of these groups may not be aware of the purpose and activities (or even the existence) of each of the other groups, thus creating the potential for confusion and duplication of effort. |
Annual Youth Services Summit (for those serving youth, including non-profit organizations, schools, the faith communities, state agencies, municipalities and the justice system) The Summit is sponsored by the Youth Services Roundtable and DIAL/SELF Teen Services, and is a follow-up to the 2006 Community-School Forum that was co-sponsored by the Youth Council of the Franklin-Hampshire Regional Employment Board and the Youth Services Roundtable. The objectives of the Summit are to bring together all key groups that serve youth (ages 11-21) in our area, so they can: · Discuss the hot issues, prevailing trends, and unmet needs confronting youth in the greater Franklin County/North Quabbin area.
· Develop new connections to other service groups and resources available to the youth they serve.
· Lay the foundation for enhanced cooperation between schools, non-profits, the faith community, state agencies, municipalities, and the justice system
