Legislative Forum for Youth Youth-Focused Coalitions, Committees, Councils, and Commissions in Franklin County/North Quabbin Early in 2005 the Youth Services Roundtable began discussing the various coalitions, task forces, councils, etc. that exist in Franklin County and the North Quabbin. There was some concern that the members of these groups may not be aware of the purpose and activities (or even the existence) of each of the other groups, thus creating the potential for confusion and duplication of effort. |

This year the forum will take a different format – individual legislators will be placed at tables with 8-12 youth from his or her district. We hope that this will enable the youth and legislators to engage in meaningful conversations rather than a simple Q&A format. Toward this end, this year’s AmeriCorps members are conducting targeted outreach and recruitment at individual schools – pre-forum trainings will be held at nearly every high school in the county Please distribute the recruitment flyer far and wide.
